Grand In Your Hand Competition

Just when we thought that Free Cash Friday had left us devoid of a way to win thousands of pounds on ITV after an amazing run through the summer, ITV Win are back with a competition on Lorraine to put a £1,000 cash into a lucky winner's pocket!

While Grand In Your Hand is a brand new name for a free entry competition, it's remarkably similar in format to the ever popular Free Cash Friday. It's slated for an initial run for five days in the first week of the new school year on Lorraine Kelly's popular morning show.

It'll give you the chance to be in with a shot of winning all week from Monday to Friday between the 5th and 9th September 2022.

There's no question to answer, and no entry fee to pay. Just head over to ITV Win and get yourself into the draw. The only way to enter is online, so there's no phone number or text shortcode to use, and no need for a postal entry address either.

It's been a while since we've seen a new style competition so will be interesting to see if there are any nuances compared to Wake Up A Winner and Free Cash Friday. The key difference appears to be the prize amount is £1,000 this time around, but no-one will turn down a free grand in their pocket with the cost of living surging this year.

At the latest, the competition opens for entries at 9.30am the day before the prize is given away, except for the first draw which is already open at the time of writing. Your entry must be submitted at itv.com/win before 9.10am each day a prize is given away. So, get your entries in from 9.30 each day this week until Thursday 9th September 2022 for a chance to win the following day.

How To Enter At itv.com/win

The only way to get your name into the draw is to enter at itv.com/win on the ITV Win site, where you'll find all the forms to enter all the other ITV competitions too. Entries can be completed on pretty much any internet enabled device, so it doesn't matter if you use a computer, or handheld device like an iPad, Kindle Fire or mobile phone.

You'll see the details explained in the mornings on Lorraine, so if anything's not clear, you can either watch out for them after GMB finishes at 9am each day until the entries close at 9.10am. The terms and conditions are also available at the ITV Win website when you enter.

The chances are most of us already have an account at ITV Win by now, and that's all you'll need to get to the entry form. Just enter your phone number and PIN code when prompted. If you need a new PIN because you've forgotten yours, click the link to get a new one sent to you by text.

If you're one of the few that have resisted trying to tempt Andi Peters to call you on GMB and Lorraine over the last couple of years, you may not have an account. Don't worry - it's really easy to set up - you just need to enter your mobile number and you'll get a text with a PIN number. It's like a password and used to log into the ITV Win website whenever you want to enter a competition.

Whether you've logged into an existing account or signed up for the first time, you're now in the position to enter the Grand In Your Hand competition with a free entry.

If you've been familiar with Seconds To Know, ITV's daily quiz, you'll be familiar with trying to quickly answer questions without running out of time. Fortunately, there's no question to answer for this free comp, so you just need to type your first name, surname and county and then tick three boxes to say you're an adult, don't work for ITV and accept the terms and conditions of the prize draw. Then you click submit and you're in the hat!

You'll know that you've completed your entry because you'll see ads for the paid competitions ITV are currently running, like the £30,000 and motorhome giveaway on GMB at the moment and the Mortage Paid prize on This Morning. Winners Announcement

To win the competition you'll need to be ready to answer your phone. Just like Free Cash Friday, winners of the Grand In Your Hand competition will be called live on Lorraine each morning, at some point after each competition closes for entries between 9.30am and 10am. You'll have to answer in three rings, or you'll forfeit your chance to win the £1,000 prize and they'll call the next number to be drawn, until someone wins. It would be annoying to miss the call, but it makes great telly. Only a week or two back they got to the fifth and final number on GMB before someone answered to win £2,000 on Free Cash Friday.

Obviously, by entering you'll be consenting to be called live on air, so winners are probably going to struggle to keep it a secret. What's more their name will likely appear on the ITV Win website winners section too.
