For Autumn 2022, ITV are running one of their biggest competitions to date. In fact, there’s only been two bigger ones – one with a prize of a million pounds back in 2015 and more recently last year in 2021 where the winner had the chance to win £10,000 a month for ten years, or £1,000,000 in one go – they chose the latter.
This time, there’s £500,000 in cash up for grabs, but there’s a twist compared to the normal competition format on ITV’s shows. Let’s try to explain it as clearly as we can!
When Is The £500,000 Competition Running?
The £500,000 competition itself runs just like any other competition you’ll see on Good Morning Britain, Lorraine, This Morning and Loose Women.
That means you’ll see it about three times during each episode of GMB, a couple of times on Lorraine, four times on This Morning and twice on Loose Women – that’s likely to be around 11 times each weekday.
How Does The Competition Differ?
Where this prize draw varies from normal is the bonus prize draws that run alongside the main draw. There are two additional prizes, an electric MG car and a motorhome.
Depending on when you enter, you may get a bonus entry into those additional draws as well as the one you get for the half a million pounds cash competition.
The prize draws begin on Friday 23rd September 2022, and all close (except postal entries) by Friday 4th November 2022 at 4pm. Postal entries have until 4pm on Thursday 10th November 2022 to arrive.
If you also want to be in with a chance of winning the electric car, you’ll need to enter between 23rd September and 30th September by phone, text or online, or by post (with the CAR 39 address prefix) to arrive by Thursday 6th October 2022 at 4pm.
For the motorhome entry to count, you need to enter by the paid phone, text or online routes after the car draw closes, but before 14th October at 4pm, or by post (with the MOTOR 41 address prefix) to arrive by Thursday 20th October 2022 at 4pm.
That means that a single entry cannot qualify for both the car and motorhome prize draws, but any entry into the car or motorhome prize draw will also be in the half a million pound prize draw.
Entries after the second bonus prize draw for the motorhome prize closes will only qualify for the cash prize draw.
In addition, for clarity, it’s worth making the point that the winners of the money, car and motorhome are all likely to be different people, as they’re separate competitions.
