Tipping Point Competition

Ben Shephard’s afternoon quiz show mixes trivia with a twist on the favourite seaside arcade game where coins drop between moving shelves.

You can find the show on ITV1 in the afternoons between 4pm and 5pm. The contestants compete against each other to be the last one standing by trying to get counters out of the Tipping Point Machine. Whoever remains in play the longest plays the final game, to try to win the maximum cash prize of £10,000 by getting the jackpot counter out of the machine.

How It Works

On some of the shows, there’s also a viewer’s prize draw, where the winner can scoop a big cash prize. All you need to do to enter is watch the show, and you’ll see the details you need to enter.

About The Tipping Point Prize Draw

While the current series of Tipping Point is on air, they tend to run a competition every other week, usually for viewers to win around £15,000 cash. Until recently they’ve run a competition up to the end of the last series with online entry, but the current series has disappointingly changed to postal entry as the free option so far.

Typically, you’ll see the competition just before the second and third ad break, at approximately 4.25pm and 4.40pm. As with the daily competition on Dickinson’s Real Deal, the Tipping Point competition no longer requires viewers to answer a multiple choice question as part of their entry. ITV Tipping Point Competition Winners

As with all competitions on the channel, the draw for the winning entry takes place shortly after the final entry route closes. Typically, entries via the text number or phone number close at 10am on Saturday morning after the last Tipping Point show is broadcast, so for the normal Monday to Friday Tipping Point competition, the phone and text lines close on the Saturday morning at 10am. Postal entry usually closes the following Thursday at 5pm, so you’ll need to make sure any postal entries are delivered by the closing date. This can vary though, especially around bank holidays, so check the competition terms and conditions to be sure.

Prizes

Unlike GMB and the daytime shows like This Morning and Loose Women, the Tipping Point prize is almost always entirely cash, and usually in the range of £15,000 to £20,000 for each week the competition runs. The winner will be sent their prize by cheque, and may be asked to participate in publicity events, which tend to be used in future prize draw promotions.
